Objectifs pédagogiques
- Design dialogue that supports the plot, reveals the characters, and fits the tone of the work. Define the voice specific to each character after characterizing them
- Identify and control the dramaturgical functions of dialogue (information, tension, rhythm, characterization, etc.). Articulate writing in dialogue with staging, action and subtext.
- Find a balance between explicit and implicit dialogues to preserve the richness of the unsaid. Verify the accuracy, the musicality and the fluidity of the dialogues through reading or voicing.
Programme
Day 1
The function of dialogue in narration. Understand the nature of dialogues and the value of realism or not. The relevance and subtlety of the dialogues (the said and the unsaid). Make dialogue authentic. The aesthetics of dialogues by genre. Studies of dialogue in crime fiction, comedy, drama.
Day 2
The characterization of the characters in their depths. Writing dialogued sequences. Construction of scenes through dialogues. Preparation of the subtext of the scenes to be integrated into the characters' dialogues. Create a fluid and catchy dialogue.
Day 3
Rewriting, work on a precise dialogue scene by intern. Reading of scenes in dialogue with actors.
