Project management and monitoring year

It is essential to master several factors to set up your cinema or audiovisual project. Prepare a convincing pitch, promote technical and artistic quality, and establish strategic partnerships with professionals in the sector.

Support for production

In order to make the film a reality, it is essential to start by looking for possible funding. You can contact the CNC, European institutions, television channels or even private companies. When the financing plan is finalized, the provisional estimate finalized, the technical and logistical implementation carried out, we move on to the pre-production stage and then to the shooting stage.

For this year, and to make your project a reality, you will be supported at all these stages:

  • By a writer to finalize the script.
  • By a director to define the layout, filming locations and casting.
  • By an assistant director and a script for setting up the timer and the work plan.
  • By a production manager for the quotation and the financing plan.
  • The financing plan will be validated by your implementation advisor to choose and validate possible assistance.

A year to make your project a reality

A year to support the project leader to understand and analyze the needs for its realization (subject, scenario, communication, aesthetics, budget, modalities...). He will be supported throughout the process to design and allow the project to follow all the preparation stages (copyright, financing, technical and financial feasibility).

Project monitoring begins with identifying the challenges and production constraints, in order to quantify the budget and establish an estimated production estimate with professionals. The objective is to be able to arrive at the most complete version of the project possible in order to present it and have it validated by the various commissions.

A schedule is established for submitting the application to financing organizations, pre-purchase TV channels, national and regional commissions, and other financing organizations adapted to the project. The stages of preparation and the search for financing are supervised by professionals in the field to enable production to be implemented.

Learn to produce a project in real life

You will be supported by professionals to be managed during preparation and production, with budgetary, creative and operational constraints.

You will be advised on the scenario, the preparation and the presentation of the file to the commissions and organizations that support creation.

A year to develop your know-how and to know the path of manufacture and production of a cinema or audiovisual project.

The management and monitoring of the project will allow, through working sessions and the support of professionals, an apprenticeship in all stages of preparation and production of a work. It is an excellent apprenticeship to train young project leaders in real life.

Objectives for this additional year

A year that will allow you to understand and learn the process of creation in cinema and audiovisual (fiction & documentary), from the birth of the project to its realization.

  • Develop your creativity
  • Deepen technical knowledge
  • Have a point of view and know how to present it
  • Build a file to file it with the aid commissions
  • Leading a team
  • Understand all the manufacturing professions
  • Learn the steps of manufacturing and financing a cinematographic or audiovisual work

STEP 1

Screenplay, script doctoring

Improvement, positive points, negative points, strength of the story and the characters. This stage will make it possible to refine the writing and/or rewriting, with the search for writing aids and the study of possible funding windows: CNC, Region, SACD...

STEP 2

Staging and work plan

For this stage, you will be accompanied by a director for the direction, the reflection and the casting, as well as by an assistant director for the research of the locations and the establishment of the work plan.

STEP 3

Funding requests

Establishment of the final project estimate based on the work plan established with the assistant director, and on the final version of the project, with the final identification and casting. For this stage, you will be supervised and accompanied by a production manager. A financing study and a schedule of aid commissions will be established in parallel.

STEP 4

Financing study and commission planning

After validation of the castings and sets, the help file will be sent to the selected commissions: regional counters, CNC, TV channels.

STEP 5

Pre-production

Preparation of production while waiting for the return of requests for aid and funding from commissions and TV channels. Search for other possible funding in parallel: private, sponsorship, crowdfunding...

In other words,
The AMCA is

A team of passionate teachers.

At AMCA, we are convinced that passion is the driving force behind all sustainable learning. This is why our teaching team is made up of film and audiovisual professionals who have made the choice to pass on their knowledge with rigor, but above all with enthusiasm. Directors, cinematographers, editors, screenwriters, screenwriters, sound engineers or producers, our teachers share concrete experience in the field, enriched by years of practice. Their mission: to offer much more than technical education.

They inspire, guide and support each student in their uniqueness, to help them affirm a personal vision of cinema. Far from impersonal lectures, our workshops favour interaction, constructive criticism and ongoing dialogue. This strong human bond between teachers and students contributes to creating a dynamic and stimulating learning environment. Thanks to this proximity, each student benefits from individualized follow-up, adapted to their development and ambitions. At AMCA, you will not only learn a profession: you will discover a community of image makers, committed to the emergence of a new generation of daring filmmakers.

Premises equipped with the latest equipment.

Learning cinema today also means mastering tools that meet professional standards. This is why AMCA provides its students with an exceptional technical environment. Our premises, designed to promote creativity and collaboration, are equipped with the latest generation of audiovisual equipment. 4K digital cameras, high-end sound equipment, professional editing stations, professional editing stations, soundproof studios, calibration room, mixing room, TV control rooms: each space is designed to reproduce real shooting and post-production conditions. Whether for educational exercises or personal projects, our students have free and supervised access to these equipment throughout their training.

The objective is clear: to allow everyone to become familiar with the tools used in the industry from the first year, in order to be fully operational at the end of school. This technological immersion is reinforced by regular training in reference software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, After Effects...). At AMCA, we believe that technical mastery is inseparable from creative freedom. It is by giving yourself the right tools that you will be able to create images that look like you.

Partnerships with the big names in cinema.

The AMCA forges strong links with major cinema and audiovisual professionals and institutions, to open the doors of the real world to its students. These partnerships take multiple forms: masterclasses with recognized directors and technicians, acting workshops with established actors, writing residencies in collaboration with festivals, co-production projects with partner studios, visits to film sets... Thanks to these privileged connections, our students can enrich their learning in direct contact with those who make today's cinema.

These exchanges also offer numerous opportunities for internships, film assistants or participation in festivals. The school is thus thought of as a real springboard towards professional integration. These collaborations also feed into our educational program, which is continuously updated in line with changes in the industry. We believe that meeting the big names in the sector stimulates ambition, cultivates high standards and offers future filmmakers a wider perspective on the realities of the profession. At AMCA, you will never be alone: you will be surrounded, supported and inspired by a network in motion.

Follow-up even in the professional world.

Entering AMCA means embarking on a structuring journey, which does not end with the diploma. Our mission is to support each student beyond training, until their integration into the world of work. From the last year, we offer personalized support for professional integration: writing artistic files, preparing for calls for projects, helping to create a business or an intermittent status, networking with recruiters or producers, etc.

Numerous mechanisms are in place to facilitate this transition: pitch events, job advertising platforms, individual coaching, interview preparation modules, mentoring by former students. This follow-up is possible thanks to a strong link with our network of alumni, who are regularly asked to intervene or recruit. The world of cinema is demanding, sometimes unstable: we want each graduate to come out equipped, confident, ready to adapt. The AMCA is not only a school: it is an ecosystem that continues to support you, even once you are in active life. Because making a movie, setting up a production company or joining a film crew requires preparation. And that's what we're here for.
