Practice at the heart of training

At the Academy of Cinema and Audiovisual Professions, we train young people for their future profession through practice. Working in the movie industry requires skills that are not only acquired in books. That is why we put all our pedagogical energy into educational content and practice.

During their studies, each student carries out numerous projects, organized in an evolving manner: from interviews to fictional short films, including advertising. These projects are crucial for success in the business and require ambition and involvement.

Apprenticeship is long and difficult for those who have not been able to enter an appropriate school. The AMCA is the place where young people can develop themselves and share their passion with peers and professionals who have the same love of cinema. Our mission is to enable passionate students to find their way through initial training, to live their passion and, for the most ambitious, to give free rein to their creativity.

Cinema, its universe and its economy are in the process of being redefined. Vision tools, production budgets, and production methods are rapidly evolving. Movies are born where the best talent is found. We train these talents. This is the objective of our school: to constantly invent and create new methods of financing and distributing cinema.

Throughout their training, students have permanent access to state-of-the-art professional equipment, allowing them to practice in optimal conditions. This equipment is made available to them for their practical, personal and professional projects, as well as for associative initiatives in collaboration with the school's partners.

Thanks to a partnership with LOCA-IMAGE, students can borrow equipment for their personal projects and train in the best conditions.

At AMCA, we are convinced that passion is the driving force behind all sustainable learning. This is why our teaching team is made up of film and audiovisual professionals who have made the choice to pass on their knowledge with rigor, but above all with enthusiasm. Directors, cinematographers, editors, screenwriters, screenwriters, sound engineers or producers, our teachers share concrete experience in the field, enriched by years of practice. Their mission: to offer much more than technical education.

They inspire, guide and support each student in their uniqueness, to help them affirm a personal vision of cinema. Far from impersonal lectures, our workshops favour interaction, constructive criticism and ongoing dialogue. This strong human bond between teachers and students contributes to creating a dynamic and stimulating learning environment. Premises equipped with the latest equipment.

Learning cinema today also means mastering tools that meet professional standards. This is why AMCA provides its students with an exceptional technical environment. Our premises, designed to promote creativity and collaboration, are equipped with the latest generation of audiovisual equipment. 4K digital cameras, high-end sound equipment, professional editing stations, professional editing stations, soundproof studios, calibration room, mixing room, TV control rooms: each space is designed to reproduce real shooting and post-production conditions. Whether for educational exercises or personal projects, our students have free and supervised access to these equipment throughout their training.

The objective is clear: to allow everyone to become familiar with the tools used in the industry from the first year, in order to be fully operational at the end of school. This technological immersion is reinforced by regular training in reference software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, After Effects...). At AMCA, we believe that technical mastery is inseparable from creative freedom. It is by giving yourself the right tools that you will be able to create images that look like you.

Partnerships with the big names in cinema.

The AMCA forges strong links with major cinema and audiovisual professionals and institutions, to open the doors of the real world to its students. These partnerships take multiple forms: masterclasses with recognized directors and technicians, acting workshops with established actors, writing residencies in collaboration with festivals, co-production projects with partner studios, visits to film sets... Thanks to these privileged connections, our students can enrich their learning in direct contact with those who make today's cinema.

These exchanges also offer numerous opportunities for internships, film assistants or participation in festivals. The school is thus thought of as a real springboard towards professional integration. These collaborations also feed into our educational program, which is continuously updated in line with changes in the industry. Follow-up even in the professional world.

Entering AMCA means embarking on a structuring journey, which does not end with the diploma. Our mission is to support each student beyond training, until their integration into the world of work. From the last year, we offer personalized support for professional integration: writing artistic files, preparing for calls for projects, helping to create a business or an intermittent status, networking with recruiters or producers, etc.

Numerous mechanisms are in place to facilitate this transition: pitch events, job advertising platforms, individual coaching, interview preparation modules, mentoring by former students. This follow-up is possible thanks to a strong link with our network of alumni, who are regularly asked to intervene or recruit. The world of cinema is demanding, sometimes unstable: we want each graduate to come out equipped, confident, ready to adapt. The AMCA is not only a school: it is an ecosystem that continues to support you, even once you are in active life. Because making a movie, setting up a production company or joining a film crew requires preparation. And that's what we're here for.
