Objectifs pédagogiques

  • Set up a calibration session
  • Calibrating a film using the primers
  • Understand exports and different types of outputs

Programme

Day 1

The image post production workflow. The various exchange files: XML, AAF, DRT and their specificities. What to ask who? Open the software. The different spaces and their usefulness. The basic settings to be made. Import media and store them.

Day 2

First calibration: import an assembly, conform it to the native ones. Verify the assembly with a reference: the steps. Work on the primaries. Control tools. What is happening with the signal? Nodes, their usefulness, their use. “Free” calibration. Projection and feedback.

Day 3

Color spaces: what are they? What space for what destination? Secondary schools: kesaco? Their usefulness and their implementation (faces, landscapes...) How to organize the nodes with the secondary ones? The selection, the masks and their use. Put into practice with new rushes.

Day 4

Interpreting an artistic request: how to translate it. Understand references and translate them. Put into practice on an image montage, with the same working bases, but different artistic instructions. Exports and viewing of renderings. Projection and feedback.

Day 5

Codecs, resolutions, color spaces, gamma. Deliveries, finishes and different types of exports. Master image. Web version. TV PAD. Master cinema. File names. Put into practice by exporting the work in different variations.

Premises equipped with the latest equipment.

Learning cinema today also means mastering tools that meet professional standards. This is why AMCA provides its students with an exceptional technical environment. Our premises, designed to promote creativity and collaboration, are equipped with the latest generation of audiovisual equipment. 4K digital cameras, high-end sound equipment, professional editing stations, professional editing stations, soundproof studios, calibration room, mixing room, TV control rooms: each space is designed to reproduce real shooting and post-production conditions. Whether for educational exercises or personal projects, our students have free and supervised access to these equipment throughout their training.locaux, conçus pour favoriser la créativité et la collaboration, sont équipés de matériel audiovisuel de dernière génération. Que ce soit pour des exercices pédagogiques ou des projets personnels, nos étudiants ont un accès libre et encadré à ces équipements tout au long de leur formation.

The objective is clear: to allow everyone to become familiar with the tools used in the industry from the first year, in order to be fully operational at the end of school. This technological immersion is reinforced by regular training in reference software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, After Effects...). At AMCA, we believe that technical mastery is inseparable from creative freedom. It is by giving yourself the right tools that you will be able to create images that look like you.

Partnerships with the big names in cinema.

The AMCA forges strong links with major cinema and audiovisual professionals and institutions, to open the doors of the real world to its students. These partnerships take multiple forms: masterclasses with recognized directors and technicians, acting workshops with established actors, writing residencies in collaboration with festivals, co-production projects with partner studios, visits to film sets... Thanks to these privileged connections, our students can enrich their learning in direct contact with those who make today's cinema.

Follow-up even in the professional world.

Entering AMCA means embarking on a structuring journey, which does not end with the diploma. Our mission is to support each student beyond training, until their integration into the world of work. From the last year, we offer personalized support for professional integration: writing artistic files, preparing for calls for projects, helping to create a business or an intermittent status, networking with recruiters or producers, etc.

Numerous mechanisms are in place to facilitate this transition: pitch events, job advertising platforms, individual coaching, interview preparation modules, mentoring by former students. This follow-up is possible thanks to a strong link with our network of alumni, who are regularly asked to intervene or recruit. The world of cinema is demanding, sometimes unstable: we want each graduate to come out equipped, confident, ready to adapt.
