To achieve professional success in film and television, every student benefits from tutoring, practical experience, and an environment closely connected to the industry.
To achieve professional success in film and television, every student benefits from tutoring, practical experience, and an environment closely connected to the industry. Thus being the inspiration behind AMCA, our platform for cinematographic excellence in the center of Paris. Over three years, students gain more than a degree;they integrate a network built to help them succeed.
Mentorship by acclaimed artists and technicians
At AMCA, we do not have teachers. Classes are all taught by active filmmakers, producers, editors, and other film and television industry professionals. This ensures that our programs stay up to date with the latest evolution in the field. They also become mentors for our students, giving them advice to help them navigate the beginning of their career and giving them opportunities thanks to their own networks.
Learn by making
During the three-year program, every student gets to direct 15 different projects. While classes are a core part of our curriculum, this emphasis on making movies ensures that all of our students understand the reality of filmmaking. Whether it is a short movie, an interview, a music video, or a documentary, all of these projects act simultaneously as a lab to hone their skills and a showcase of their talents. And when they are not directing their own project, they are working on the project of their classmates or doing internships.
An international environment
Today, Paris is not only the capital of French cinema but also one of the main hubs for international coproduction. Filmmakers from everywhere come to France to finance, produce, and shoot some of their most celebrated movies. Our classes are taught by filmmakers and technicians from all over the world : This enables our alumni to work both nationally and internationally, depending on their goals.
